Smaller sized, but bold and weighty Tibetan sterling silver (stamped 925) Gau (also spelled Ghau or Gao) prayer box pendant adorned with turquoises and smaller corals. The backside is plain. The color of the turquoise is somehow darker than it might seem in the pics. It closes securely. This prayer box is used to hold and carry powerful amuletic objects. Used in Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan and Mongolia. A most beautiful example of a Tibetan/ Nepali Gau.
