A gorgeous Tibetan or Nepali 925 silver gilded Gau (also spelled Ghau or Gao) prayer box pendant adorned with a turquoise on the top. This prayer box (it is openable at the back) is used to hold and carry powerful amuletic objects. As used in Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, and Mongolia, the Gau box usually contains a written prayer. A beautiful example with all the adornments intact.
