Hindu Amulet Sapta Matrikas Necklace on Adjustable Cord

An Indian Sapta Matrikas amulet with four bales.
This amulet is attached on a cotton cord and is
held in place by cotton balls and knots. It
has a cotton ball for adjusting the length.
This necklace is in great condition and ready
to wear.
The Sapta Matrikas are representing the saktis,
or the energies of the important familiar deities
Brahmani (Saraswati)
Mahesvari (Raudani) Kaumari (Karttikeyani)
Vaishnavi (Lakshmi) Varahi, Indrani and
Chamunda (Chamundi). According to a legend
described in the Isanasivagurudevapaddhati,
the Matrikas were created to help Lord Siva in
his fight against Andhakasura.
