Here we have a real special and beautiful pair of exquisite antique turkmen silver and old coral earrings from the first half of the 20th century. They are of high silver content and made of scrolls of twisted wire. The coral has beautiful dotwork around. This type of earrings are found in the turkmen populations in Central Asia, in the valley of Fergana in Uzbekistan and on the other side of the border, in Afghanistan. A gorgeous piece in perfect condition. This pair is for sure a collector's piece. You can find a similar pair on p.85 in Anne van Cutsem's Book "A world of Earrings". But you can aswell wear them and they will look gorgeous. The wire has a thickness of 1mm, which is very wearable for western standard earholes.
