Rare Yemeni Carnelian Crescent Moon and Star Pendant

Just a wonderful and hard to find old
amulet from Yemen with a square
carnelian set into a very ornate and special silver
frame, depicting crescent moon and star.
The carnelian has a wonderful smooth surface
and is in its setting perfectly. The irregularities
of the stone visible in the pic are the surface
of the natural stone and not a damage.
The bale is fully intact.
This amulet has a total length of 1.2" (3.0cm)
and weights 11gr. A truly rare and beautiful piece!
