Within Buddhist and Hindu mythology, the Norbu is a wish-fulfilling precious gem of great power. It is said that it has fallen from the cosmical sky onto the earth. The legend says that this magical jewel manifests everything one wishes for. It is often depicted with a flaming crown and is carried aswell on the windhorses back. Two beautiful examples of the Norbu depicted in Nepalese jewelry can be seen here on the bracelet and the ring.
